Wu Changshuo (1844-1927), as the leading figure of the Shanghai School in its later period, was the most representative artist of the late Qing and early Republican era. By reconstructing the intricate backdrop of his era, it aims to restore historical truth, unveil the subtleties of human relationships, and bring to life vivid, textured scenes.
