Suriya, Muthu's only son, leaves the island in search of a better future, like many youths from Murugupattam, as traditional fishing methods struggle to survive. Left behind, Muthu and Vaijayanti continue to live a peaceful and thoughtful life close to nature, caring for their sea and sand while holding onto the hope of Suriya's return. When young spirited Subbu encourages Muthu to sell his unique handmade candies with a secret ingredient in the nearby town, a small dream begins to blossom!
