The Second Half of the "Mal's Latter Days" Arc of "The MAL Series," telling of the rise and fall of the MAL Empire at the hands of Mal's future self. Book 20: The MAL Empire >Book 21: Past, Present, and Future Mal >Book 22: The Wrath of Future Mal Mal and Calida live a blissful life in Mal's Paradise while Future Mal constructs a diabolical weapon dubbed the S.I.N. Ray, The Critic hellbent of wiping out all of Humanity. To convey Future Mal's plan and the nature of The Plot to Mal and Calida, I must intervene by placing twelve documents within Mal's Paradise for the couple to find. Future Mal seeks to combine the Body of The Antagonist with Soul of the Editor and the Mind of The Critic, recreating a being called The Antithesis, the literal antithesis of The Plot. I enter my own Paradise, where I'm greeted by Calida, but our joy is short-lived when The Antithesis reforms, and we must travel to the Dark Oblivion alongside the Malevolent All-Powerful Liberator to at last face END himself.
