The Midnight Bench

In a small town in Kansas, a poet born on the shores of the Caribbean shares his room with two old companions: solitude and poetry. Then, one night, he vanishes without a trace. His sheet mourns him. His threads become suspects. The Cosmic Police open an investigation that spans planets, and two jealous stars - Gaia and Electra - start asking questions no one else dares to ask. Even the Moon, who has secretly loved his verses for years, can't explain where he's gone. The truth is stranger than anyone imagined: the poet has fallen into the City of Dreams, a place where he can only return by finding the one thing he lost - his voice. The Midnight Bench is the first novel in a trilogy that blends magical realism with Caribbean warmth, turning a bench, a sheet, and the night sky into unforgettable characters. A story about solitude, poetry, and the strange miracle of being truly seen. Book I of El Banco de la Medianoche trilogy. Followed by Where Poetry Is Born and the upcoming Me Debes un Café, Poeta.
