the Mystery of Missing Brother

Jonas and Justus Avery are private detectives. It is an odd profession for two orphaned 18th Century youths. Many doubt their capabilities because of their age. Despite the naysayers, over and over they prove their skills by solving difficult mysteries. Their detective agency, The Liberty Lads Investigations, is a thriving business. Despite their success, there remains one mystery that they have been unable to solve. It is the whereabouts of one young man. He is Andrew MacLellan, the brother of their friend and colleague, Charity. The siblings had been separated long ago by the cruel and unjust system of indentured servitude. When the Averys receive a solid clue to his location, they quickly set off to investigate. Their relentless search takes them to the dangerous Atlantic Ocean, deep into the swamps of North Carolina, and to the sunny shores of Florida. Along the way they encounter ruthless pirates, devious thieves, and the ever-powerful British Royal Navy. Book two in THE LIBERTY LADS mystery series, THE MYSTERY OF THE MISSING BROTHER is the exciting tale of a quest to find one lost man and reunite a broken family.
