The National Divorce: a Story of Fractured Superpower

The United States of America finally broke. Both sides got what they wanted... a split, a National Divorce. The split came, not from a conventional civil war, but through irregular, small-scale conflict leading to a resolution that shatters the nation. Two nations signing their separation, splitting a superpower into rival visions of what "freedom" means. The United States of America became two nations with two irreconcilable ideologies. Throughout, both nations insist they are saving the idea of America. This is the story of those living in this new reality. External forces threaten both nations as propaganda spreads and foreign powers circle. Timely, provocative, and unsettlingly plausible, The National Divorce is a gripping near-future political drama for readers of speculative fiction, geopolitical drama, and near-future dystopia. Perfect for fans of American War, The Man in the High Castle, and Station Eleven.
