The New Job: A Twisty Psychological Thriller

In the heart of London, three lives unfold on separate-but ultimately entwined-paths. When portfolio manager Doug takes on a new contract at a secluded country estate, he expects spreadsheets and quiet work. Instead, he finds himself entangled with a striking, aloof woman-and a high-stakes web of secrets, obsession, and betrayal. Meanwhile, immunologist Abby is used to noticing details others miss, but when her daughter mentions a man standing silently in their garden, she forces a laugh and brushes it off. Yet the shadow lingers-in her memory, in her peripheral vision, and in the uneasy silences that creep into her marriage. All the while, Alex lives behind shifting identities, a product of reckless youth and a talent for deception now channelled into covert work for a hard-edged figure with a commanding presence. As these lives collide, perception proves unreliable, revelations shatter assumptions, and twists leave nothing as it seemed.
