The Old Thorne Mansion: 2

The Spark has flickered out at the edge of the woods. To save a forgotten family of clockwork toys, a tiny mohair bear must brave the deep chill of a silent, long-locked estate. Deep within the Cascade Mountain wilderness, nestled on the shores of a mist-shrouded lake, sits the decaying Thorne Mansion. Locked away and forgotten since the bitter winter of 1944, its grand halls hold a secret: a family of delicate clockwork carousel animals, frozen mid-stride, their gears silenced when their child left and "The Spark" of life faded into sleep. When a faint, clockwork distress signal reaches the cozy basement workshop of the Grizzled Bear Agency, Ephraim-the vintage 1910 mohair bear-and his loyal, acorn-loving squirrel companion, Nutty, know they cannot ignore the call. Guided by the young, sharp-eyed archivist Sophia and her adventurous brother Jackson, the agency sets off on a perilous trek through autumn mountain storms to reach the iron-bound gates. But the Thorne Mansion is guarded by more than just rust and weeds. "The Gravity of Silence" has settled deep into the estate, a heavy, magical frost that threatens to freeze Ephraim's own Spark forever. To awaken the carousel and guide the lost clockwork toys back to warmth, Ephraim must solve a sixty-year-old mystery of love, loss, and the enduring power of being remembered. Written in the rich, nostalgic tradition of classic children's literature, The Old Thorne Mansion is a gentle-stakes, atmospheric mystery about found family, resilience, and the quiet magic of a second chance.
