The Pottery Class Poisoning: A Small-Town Cozy Mystery

A pottery class. A deadly cup. And a secret buried deep in Merritt Harbor's past. Mara Bell thought running the Maker's Mill would mean juggling artists, customers, repairs, and the occasional disaster involving her rescue dog, Moxie. She never expected a pottery class to end with a dead man and a room full of suspects. When celebrated ceramic artist Julian Mercer collapses during a tea break at a sold-out master class, Mara quickly realizes this was no accident. Someone poisoned his cup, and almost everyone in the room had a reason to want Julian gone. Mara's closest friend, Nell, has a bitter history with the victim. A powerful councilman is hiding something about the mill's original cooperative agreement. Julian's former assistant has secrets of his own. And an old photograph suggests the murder may be connected to a woman who disappeared from Merritt Harbor decades ago. As Mara digs deeper, she uncovers missing records, buried property disputes, and a mysterious page that someone is willing to risk everything to find. The closer she gets to the truth, the more dangerous the investigation becomes. With Moxie underfoot, a determined detective at her side, and a killer who knows exactly how to hide in plain sight, Mara must solve the pottery class poisoning before the secrets of the old mill claim another victim.
