Bol They call it the Quieting. Not dead. Not asleep. Just gone - present in body, unreachable in everything else, for years at a time. When Dr. Naomi Serra arrives at Calyx Station to run routine psychiatric evaluations, she expects paperwork, not patients like this. But the official diagnosis doesn't hold up, and the deeper she looks, the more the colony's calm explanations start to sound like something else: a story years in the making, built to keep twenty-two hundred people from asking the one question that matters. What's actually happening to the people who stay too long under Eos-4's amber sky?Serra is about to find out - and to discover that the investigation itself may already be changing her.THE QUIET COLONY is science fiction horror stripped down to mechanism and dread: no monsters, no mysticism, just a planet, an institution, and the terrible patience of both.
