My path into yoga and face yoga did not begin as a trend.I come from South Asian and African heritage, where natural beauty and self-care were woven into everyday life. We valued posture, breath, and traditional remedies long before they were labeled "wellness practices." Face care rituals were about fighting age but it was just as important to respect the body, practicing discipline, and carrying ourselves with dignity over time. Face care was not separate from health or spirit. It was part of maintaining balance.Yoga and face yoga have become my foundation as a way to support tone, expression, and radiance while honoring the wisdom carried in the face. This work is about aging with grace. I think about the poem by Dylan Thomas, "Do not go gentle into that good night."We will never be twenty again. But we do not have to age passively. We can strengthen, align, breathe, and carry ourselves with intention. Aging with dignity means caring enough to stay engaged. It means tending to the body and face with self-worth rather than self-criticism. It is not about chasing perfection. It is about refusing to give up on vitality. This book is an invitation, not an instruction manual for perfection. Your face, your body, and your life carry wisdom shaped by years of living, loving, surviving, and becoming. Take what resonates. Leave what does not.
