Season One of The Rekindling TrialsMagic is dying. The Trials may be the reason. And the one girl who was never meant to matter may be the only one capable of uncovering the truth.Twenty-two-year-old Cerulean "Cera" Quartz has never been powerful. Her Stone magic is barely worth mentioning, and she has spent most of her life far from crowns, Wardens, and the dangerous competitions that decide the future of the realm. Then her sixteen-year-old sister's magic begins to fail.Desperate for answers-and believing the legendary Heartwell beneath Arden Keep may hold a cure-Cera enters the Gathering, the deadly qualifying journey for the Ascendant Trials. To reach the capital, she must recover four ancient Elemental Marks: Stone. Tide. Gale. Ember. But the Gathering is not what Cera expected. The ancient challenges seem to reward cooperation while the modern rules encourage candidates to abandon one another. Contestants disappear. Wardens recognize her dead mother's name. An old legacy token behaves in ways it shouldn't. And Cera begins sensing something hidden between the four accepted forms of magic-something history insists no longer exists. Then there is Crimson.Handsome, infuriating, dangerously observant, and far too skilled for the wandering mercenary he claims to be, Crimson may be Cera's best chance of surviving the Gathering. He may also be one of its greatest secrets. As attraction grows alongside suspicion, Cera must decide how much she is willing to trust a man she knows is lying to her-and how far she will go when the Trials demand that survival come before compassion.Because someone has rewritten the history of magic.Someone has been hiding what the Gathering was originally created to do.And the oldest warning in the realm may mean something very different from what everyone has been taught: NO CROWN MAY ENTER.No Crown May Enter is the first season of The Rekindling Trials, an adult romantasy filled with elemental magic, deadly competitions, ancient riddles, slow-burn romance, hidden identities, royal secrets, found family, forbidden magic, and a heroine who refuses to leave people behind.
