The Rider’s Promise: a High Heat Dragon Rider Romantasy with Flame Marked Heroine, Fallen Champion, Forbidden Love, Ancient Magic, Separated Lovers, Rebellion and Final Fight for Freedom

They broke the crown. Now they must survive the freedom they fought for.The Ashen Flight has changed everything.Thousands of dragons, riders and refugees have crossed into First Sky, a realm beyond the crown's control. The Cinder Braid is fractured. Drakethorne is trying to rebuild without a queen commanding every decision. And Maevryn Firevale and Lorcan Ashwing are separated by the very roads they helped free.Maevryn remains in First Sky, surrounded by dragons who have finally escaped forced bonds and people already looking to her for answers.Lorcan remains in Drakethorne, where frightened citizens want someone they trust to hold the roads, restore order and decide what happens next. Both know how dangerous that sounds.Because crowns do not always begin with conquest.Sometimes they begin when everyone agrees that one person is too necessary to leave. As ancient promise stones awaken and forgotten laws begin resurfacing, Maevryn and Lorcan uncover the truth behind the Rider's Promise, a system older than Drakethorne itself. It was never meant to bind dragons to riders forever. It was meant to protect the right to choose. And the right to walk away. But Queen Zaretha is still alive, the Braid Vault beneath Drakethorne is opening, and centuries of unfinished commands, stolen choices and broken promises are beginning to escape.Worse, the magical road connecting Maevryn and Lorcan is changing.Their love can open gates between worlds.Their desire can strengthen the connection. And if the ancient magic decides their devotion means neither should ever be allowed to leave the other, the bond they chose could become the most powerful cage the crown ever created. To save dragons, riders and each other, Maevryn and Lorcan must do something far harder than fight another queen. They must prove that love can survive freedom. That a promise can have an ending. That leaving does not erase devotion. And that choosing someone means nothing unless they remain free to choose again. The Rider's Promise is the high heat conclusion to The Flame Marked Bride, featuring dragon riders, separated lovers, forbidden magic, ancient skywake roads, political rebellion, forced magical connection, explicit romance, powerful dragons, a fallen champion and a heroine determined to build a world where nobody belongs to anyone simply because they once said yes.Maevryn and Lorcan's story concludes with their complete romantic happily ever after, built not on ownership or eternal magical obligation, but on choosing each other freely again and again.
