the rise of gods: Book one -Drakon master

ABOUT THE BOOK Eirik Ashborn has spent his life trying to become the son his father could be proud of. Born on the storm-worn island of Trollaborg, he is expected to be strong, silent, obedient, and hard enough to survive the brutal world of northern chiefs, sea-raiders, old laws, and colder expectations. But Eirik has never fit the shape demanded of him. When a wounded dragon crashes onto Trollaborg's cliffs during a violent storm, Eirik sees what others refuse to see: not a monster, but an ancient creature in pain. His hesitation before the entire village brings shame, punishment, and the full weight of his father's disappointment. Yet that moment also awakens something older than blood, older than kingdoms, and far more dangerous than anything Eirik has ever known. The dragon's name is Nyxar. And he remembers Eirik. Bound by fate, hunted by darkness, and caught between the violent traditions of the North and the dangerous politics of Mercia, Eirik must discover who he truly is before others decide it for him. As old powers begin to stir, enemies rise from forgotten places, and the truth of the Drakon Masters returns, one boy and one dragon may become the key to a war the world has tried to bury. But power always demands a price. And Eirik Ashborn will have to decide what he is willing to lose in order to protect those he loves.
