The Role of Business Incubators in Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship plays a unique and vital role in our country's economic development. The creation of new businesses has a positive impact on both economic activity and employment. This is why the Tunisian government prioritises business incubators. Indeed, incubators contribute to economic dynamism and foster the emergence of small and medium-sized enterprises through the development of a rich entrepreneurial culture. Moreover, the incubator serves as the institutional environment that stimulates entrepreneurial activity. The empirical study enabled us to test various hypotheses and to observe that, depending on the form of legitimacy, entrepreneurs express different expectations and motivations regarding the role of the business incubator.
