the School of Bush, Hope: An Advocacy for Community Schools

What if, in the heart of forgotten villages, the vertical lung of African education was beating? In this book, Romuald Séverin MBOU leads us through a vibrant and documented plea for community schools-those oases of knowledge born from popular will in the face of the State's silence. Where the official school does not reach, local initiative arises, carried by parents, volunteer teachers, and children determined to learn against all odds. Across seventeen chapters, the author gives a voice to these unsung heroes, highlighting the successes, struggles, fragilities, but also the immense potential of these local educational structures. This book is not a mere observation. It is a cry of hope, an outstretched hand to decision-makers, and a tribute to the builders of the African future. It is a necessary, powerful, and deeply human essay.
