The Second Death of Romeo and Juliet

Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet have been dead for centuries-until their perfectly preserved bodies are discovered beneath Verona and both awaken before a watching world. History remembers them as the ultimate tragic lovers. They remember something else. Romeo insists Juliet was already dead when he drank the poison. Juliet remembers waking while Romeo was still alive-and a third person entering the crypt. As scientists, historians, corporations, and the city's powerful heritage industry fight to control them, Romeo and Juliet must uncover who changed the story of their deaths and why the official version has been protected for generations. But resurrection presents an even more dangerous question: now that they are free from their families, their feud, and the legend that made them immortal, do they still choose each other? A literary mystery of love, identity, memory, and the stories that outlive us, The Second Death of Romeo and Juliet asks: If history's most famous lovers had survived, would their love have survived with them?
