The Sovereign's Veil

Kael is alive, but trapped within the Loom, his body and mind suspended in a prison of living thread. With their bond severed, Aren can no longer feel him, no longer sense the truth of his heartbeat or his fear. All he has left is the promise he made: he will bring Kael home.To do that, he must cross into the Veiled Lands, a shifting realm where memory becomes mist and lies walk with human faces. At its centre waits the Mistborn Sovereign, a master of illusion, a creature who has spent centuries perfecting the art of breaking men from the inside. And now it has chosen Aren.Kael begins to appear in Aren's dreams: reaching for him, warning him, begging him to hurry. But without the bond, Aren has no way to know whether the man he sees is truly Kael fighting through the Loom... or the Sovereign wearing Kael's voice to lure him into surrender. As the Veiled Lands twist into a battlefield of deception and unravelled magic, Aren must confront the Sovereign in an explosive final clash, one that will decide Kael's fate, the future of the Loom, and whether love can survive when every thread between them has already been cut.The storm breaks here. And Aren must face it alone.
