The Spot Club

A neighborhood club. A family story. And a whole lot of spots. When Chip and Hogan - two Dalmatian puppies with spots for days - move into a new neighborhood (thanks to a happy mix-up at the pet store), they discover the best way to belong somewhere is to look out for everyone around you.Together, Chip and Hogan form the Spot Club, a neighborhood club dedicated to looking out for each other. There's a grumpy woodchuck who lives in a hole, a raccoon who lives in the trees, and a possum who sleeps upside down. And a big dog named Bruno who wants to make sure the Spot Club never gets off the ground. What happens when Woody gets stranded, floating out on the lake? What happens when Chip and Hogan lose all their spots? And when Bruno's jealousy threatens to destroy everything they've built, the whole club works together to save it.A funny, heartfelt illustrated chapter book about friendship, belonging, and second chances. It's perfect for family read-alouds and independent readers ages 7-10.Rooted in stories a father told his children in the 1980s, The Spot Club brings that oral storytelling tradition to a new generation.
