The Supreme Court Compendium

This updated collection of data presents historical and statistical information on all important aspects of the U.S. Supreme Court, including its history, development as an institution, the justices' backgrounds, nominations, and confirmations, and the Court's relationship with the public and other governmental and judicial bodies. This new edition is updated to cover Supreme Court cases since the 1999-2000 term and presents never before seen aggregate data for conference votes during 1946 to 1968, including the much-studied Warren Court period. In addition, a unique new Web site has been developed to complement this important reference book. The site will feature all the tables in the book as well as additional data that will be valuable to judicial scholars, students, and those interested in the history of the Supreme Court.

With over 180 tables and figures, this new edition is intended to capture the full retrospective picture through the 2013-2014 term of the Roberts Court and the momentous decisions handed down within the last four years, including United States v. Windsor, National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius, and Shelby County v. Holder.
