The Thank-You Hunt: A Story About Gratitude in English, Spanish, Tagalog, and Italian

Omni is having a grumpy day. His toast is too toasty, his socks feel funny, and Max the dog is sitting in his spot. So Papi says the only sensible thing: "Then we better go hunting." Not for animals. For thank-yous. They hide everywhere, in sunbeams and puddles and the smell of warm bread, and Omni and Papi need to find five of them before dinner. By the last page, Omni's socks still feel funny and Max is still in his spot. Nothing has changed except what Omni notices, which turns out to be everything. Every page is written four times: English, Spanish, Tagalog, and Italian, with simple pronunciation guides so a grown-up can read any of them out loud, even a language they don't speak. I wrote this for my son. His name is Omni. Max is our real dog. The grumpy morning really happened. Adventures of Omni, Book One. A gentle read-aloud about gratitude for ages 3 to 5.
