the Tongue of Another Kingdom: Discovering Language Spirit and Mystery Praying Beyond Your Understanding

What if one of the greatest mysteries of the Spirit-filled life has been available to believers all along?Every earthly kingdom has a language. Yet believers belong to a Kingdom that is not of this world. Scripture reveals an extraordinary dimension of prayer in which the believer speaks to God, the spirit prays, mysteries are spoken, and the natural understanding becomes unfruitful. The Tongue of Another Kingdom explores what the Bible actually reveals about praying in tongues and why this remarkable gift can become such a powerful part of everyday fellowship with God.Drawing especially from 1 Corinthians 14, this practical and faith-building book explores how praying in the Spirit can move believers beyond the limitations of natural vocabulary and into deeper communion with God.Inside, you will discover: - Why Paul said, "my spirit prayeth"- What it means to speak mysteries in the Spirit- Why the natural mind does not have to understand every prayer- How tongues can deepen extended prayer and intercession- The connection between praying in the Spirit, thanksgiving, worship, and spiritual edification- How praying in tongues can help cultivate sensitivity to the Holy Spirit- Why biblical order should never become an excuse for rejecting spiritual gifts- How to make praying in the Spirit a natural part of everyday lifeThis book avoids both extremes. It does not sensationalize tongues or build doctrines where Scripture remains silent. Neither does it minimize a gift that Paul practiced extensively and told the church not to forbid. You were never meant to live the Christian life limited entirely to what your natural mind can understand. There is prayer beyond your vocabulary. There is fellowship beyond your understanding. And there is a language available to the Spirit-filled citizen of another Kingdom.
