The transition from traditional journalism to convergent

This study examines convergent journalism using the example of Armenian online media, reviews publications featuring multimedia elements in Armenian and foreign online media, analyzes and evaluates the state of convergent journalism in Armenian online media, and presents a multimedia website as an example. The methodology of this study includes research methods such as descriptive, comparative, content analysis, and prescriptive analysis. Regarding the extent to which this topic has been studied, it can be stated that, unfortunately, media convergence and the multimedialization of the media have not been studied extensively enough in the domestic literature, as this is a relatively new field of research in Armenia. The scientific novelty of this work lies in the fact that the author addresses the topic of convergent newsrooms in Armenian online media and multimedia journalism as a whole for the first time. To understand the changes taking place in Armenian online media newsrooms, a study was conducted that describes the main tools of multimedia journalism and provides various examples of multimedia publications.
