The solemn envelope bearing the final list has been delivered to the town secretary under the cover of night for safekeeping.A more urgent problem has been brought before the Elders - a highly irregular harvest. The town's magic has faltered in a way most unexpected. This deficiency has never befallen Swift Hill as it readied for an annual Quest. The Elders must make a judicious decision, even if it jeopardizes the safety of the travelers.The chosen seven courageously accept their calling at the reaping, even after learning of the faltering magic and the Elders' decision to send them anyway. The next couple of days bring deep thought and reflection for one traveler in particular. He has come to a decision of his own, one he intends to reveal at the amulet ceremony.Armed with their magic amulets, strict instructions, and the fate of the town on their shoulders, one final night's sleep is all they have before they must brave this dangerous Quest. The Flower has chosen wisely. The Elders trust the plan. The seven will face whatever awaits them, for turning back is not an option. The Quest begins tomorrow- and it accepts no failure.
