What is the value of a life? A question every philosopher, soldier, politician, and criminal needs to have an answer for. And every immortal. Kafir has her answer, or at least she hopes so. But even when one has their guiding principles it becomes so easy to fail them. Boredom, loneliness, shear apathy. When a chance encounter shreds those feelings away and propels her to act, just how much destruction will be left in her wake? And who will be there to pick up the pieces? At the end of the day, how can one value other people's lives if they don't even value their own. Follow from the perspective of an immortal being as she struggles with her own apathy and existence. When confronted with people she actual feels attached to, their lives draw her deeper into understanding and connection that she yearns for. But when a unfolding conspiracy involving potential demonic entities, the human mafia, and a global logistics company, threatens her peace... Even an immortal can't catch a break, I suppose it's just business as usual then.
