The Trier Goes To London

The properties of the coffee tree, the myth of Kaldi, the power of the roasting process and the history of coffee unite to propel young writer and caffeine addict, Altonstreet, in search of literary inspiration. Trusting a mysterious goatherder named Kollo to send him to London in 1675, or thereabouts, Altonstreet lands at the Blackened Bean, accidently accompanied by his friend Philpatrick.The race is on for Altonstreet to find Kaldi to satisfy Kollo and enable them both to return to their own time, but this is no easy task. Together, the pair experience the first coffeehouses of 17th century London, whilst navigating vengeful and scheming coffee traders, the intimidating Widow Giles and the allure of her beautiful niece Alora, and even the challenge of roasting coffee for the King of England himself.The coffee chaff in Altonstreet's pocket could warm up anytime, sending him forward in time. The future of coffee itself depends on Altonstreet and Kaldi finally meeting. But first, where on earth is his next cup coming from?
