In the poems collected here, "truth" is not a completed entity residing in the external world or in thought, nor is it formed between them. Rather, it is layers of verbal performance ii sedimented through questioning, negation, and inversion of meaning, never issuing from a logic of affirmation bound to a finished semantic system. Because of this, "truth," as a poetic subject served by expressive techniques, does not require the poet to confront dominant language in order to contribute to revolutionizing the world, as some pioneers of Arab poetic modernism once urged. Here, poetic truth becomes a kind of continuous "movement" at the level of consciousness of the world, through living within it-a movement that flows through a communicative circle passing into society. Between self, society, and world, expressive spaces open onto the shared human experience of existence.
