This thesis deals with the development of a software environment based on 'virtual reality' and robotics simulation software to be integrated with it, for use in the medical field. To this end, the following fundamental aspects of the subject are explored: the fundamentals of computer graphics, input and output device technology, the integration of input and output devices, and the fundamentals of robotics. Building on these fundamentals, an interactive environment has been created in which the user interacts with virtual reality and resolves the resulting kinematic problems of an integrated robot using the robotics simulation. The software environment is intended for use in pre-operative planning for minimally invasive surgery and aims to demonstrate the practical application of virtual reality in medicine.
