This is Greg's second collection of stories about growing up in the deep South in the 1950's, 60's, and 70's. Springfield is the setting, a town of about five hundred people in the middle of South Carolina, miles away from the next neighboring town. The community and the culture were near-idyllic, and the events recounted in these stories will trigger memories of an era fast fading out of sight in the rear-view mirror - an era of simplicity and honesty, a time when everybody in town knew each other, when a boy was raised not only by his own family, but by the whole community. A time of innocence and goodness and rightness. These stories will tell you of the outdoor adventures, the pranks, the conflicts, the hard lessons, and the humor of those days in Springfield.
