The Wail of Freedom

This story takes to task the programmed, shallow patriotism of many Americans, creating soul-searching, thought-provoking, difficult dilemmas for hardcore, unwavering answers posed by the pointed question of Is freedom priceless? To many other Americans the answer is a "no-brainer and hell yes," next question. Bart was a charismatic leader with the admirable quality of admitting to being obsessive and impatient, both of which were in direct contrast to his profession and lifestyle, but he offset these traits with enormous self-confidence, discipline, and unprecedented passion for patriotism. His persona of almost irresistible persuasiveness, along with the total support of a prominent family and a wide circle of enormously wealthy friends and like-minded business associates, gave him substantial tools for success. A covert patriotic organization, the likes of which the nation, nor arguably the world has never before witnessed, was the product of his intense patriotic drive.
