the Waltz of Labradoodle

London artist Kate Ellison flew ten thousand miles to find herself. She found a heatwave, a judgmental cat, and a dog the size of a small sofa. After a failed gallery show and a life that feels like it's stalling, Kate escapes the grey skies of Hackney for a three-week house-sitting gig in Canberra, Australia. Her mission? Paint, relax, and figure out her future. Instead, she found a labradoodle the size of a sofa, a parrot with a penchant for dramatic arguments, and a cat who judged her every life choice.Hudson McKenna drives a turquoise van for his business, Crazy Kangaroo Pet Grooming, wears t-shirts featuring emus, and has a smile that threatens to derail Kate's "sensible" plan entirely. Between dog walks gone wrong, a poodle portrait commission that reignited her artistic spark, and a grand gesture involving warm champagne and a kitchen floor, Kate became tangled in a romance as unexpected as it was undeniable. The problem? Hudson wasn't just a fling. He was the kind of man who made her want to stay. Now, with her departure looming, Kate must decide: Is love worth the mess? Or will she board her flight and leave her heart in Canberra? The Waltz of the Labradoodle is a cozy, humorous, clean romance, set in Australia. It is full of heart and the warmth only love and animals can offer.
