The Water Crisis in Rural Western Cameroon:: Bamendjou and Bangam

Water is a scarce resource and is very often difficult to access; In all areas of water management in the Bamendjou district, obstacles arise due to the poverty of the population and insufficient support from public authorities. These realities form the backbone of our book titled: The Water Crisis in Bangam and Bamendjou in Western Cameroon. It thoroughly examines the issue of water supply, the challenges, and the prospects. The book outlines the current state of water access strategies. It addresses the impact of water supply on lifestyle patterns, discusses the deficiencies of water supply points, and and water use in households. On a completely different note, the book addresses achievements in water policy; the problem of the inefficiency of water management policies and strategies. It serves as a guide to better understand water supply issues and to develop solutions in the municipality of Bamendjou in particular and in Cameroon in general.
