The Weight of Her Name

How do you prove who you are when the evidence says otherwise?Mara Vale has built her career examining the things other people take for granted-voices, recordings, evidence-and determining what can truly be trusted. Then a solicitor contacts her about a recording connected to a fraud investigation. The voice on it appears to be hers.Mara knows she had nothing to do with the case. But one unexplained recording is only the beginning. Soon, details connected to her identity begin appearing where they shouldn't, and the distinction between a mistake, a coincidence and something deliberately constructed becomes increasingly difficult to see.For Mara, the implications are terrifying. Her name has already carried the consequences of someone else's choices once before. Now, as questions surrounding her identity begin to multiply, she must confront how much of a person can be reduced to records-and what happens when those records become more convincing than the person herself.Because evidence doesn't have to be false to tell the wrong story. And sometimes the hardest thing to prove is who you are.The Weight of Her Name is the gripping final instalment in the Mara Vale trilogy-a psychological mystery thriller about identity, evidence, family and the dangerous distance between what can be proven and what is true.Absence left a question. Silence changed its meaning. Now, her name is the evidence.
