The "When" is Under Your Wings Soar High: A Believer's Guide to Rising in God's Appointed Time

An eagle does not flap its way into the sky. It positions itself on a high place, spreads its wings, and waits for a current of air it cannot see, cannot control, and cannot create. When that current comes, the eagle does not strain - it simply opens itself to what is already moving beneath it, and it rises. This is the picture behind the title of this book. "The when" - your appointed time, your set season, the moment God has already ordained for your promotion, your breakthrough, your calling to be fulfilled - is not something you must manufacture through anxious striving. It is already positioned beneath you, the way wind is positioned beneath an eagle's wings before the eagle ever feels it. Your part is not to create the lift. Your part is to spread your wings in faith and trust the Lord of the timing. Scripture repeatedly uses the eagle as a picture of the believer's life in God. Isaiah promises that those who wait on the Lord will mount up with wings as eagles (Isaiah 40:31). Moses reminded Israel that God stirred their nest and bore them on eagles' wings out of bondage (Deuteronomy 32:11; Exodus 19:4). Job marvels at the eagle's ability to set her eyes on far-off things and make her nest on high (Job 39:27-29). Each picture teaches something about how God moves His people from where they are to where He has called them to be. This book is written for the believer who is tired of striving in their own strength, tired of trying to force a season that has not yet come, and ready to learn what it means to trust God's timing while still actively preparing, positioning, and pressing toward the promise. Five chapters, five scriptural pictures of the eagle, five practical lessons for the life of faith. Each chapter closes with a scripture-based reflection, questions for your own journal, and a prayer you can pray over your life. My prayer is that as you read, the Holy Spirit will remind you: the when is already beneath you. All that remains is for you to soar.
