When the grid went down I was only beginning to learn about the survivalist life. I learned a lot more on my journey. Like a lot of other people I was at work when life as we knew it changed. I thought I was prepared at home, but I was not at all prepared for the travel home on foot. My story about trying to get home is full of mistakes, but I learned from them, and my hope is if you are reading this and you have to travel in this new world you can learn from my mistakes.
