The 7th Earl De La Warr developed Bexhill as a fashionable resort, building new streets and grand houses and hotels, and later generations continued this work, most famously with the 1930s’ De La Warr Pavilion. Today, the town retains a quiet and dignified appeal for its many visitors and residents.
