Pirate Calvin and his buddy, the Wise Seaport Rat, travel back in time on their pirate ship to 1976. After stowing aboard a nuclear submarine bound for the North Pole, they befriend a crew member who is surprised by how much Pirate Calvin resembles him when he was a child. At the North Pole, the adventure begins as they explore the ice and chase an arctic fox. When the submarine ties up to the pier again, and Pirate Calvin returns to the present time, he thinks back over his amazing adventure and ponders: Could the friendly sailor on the submarine have been his dad?
