This is the twelfth book in the Tommy Somebody series and is the second of part of a two part book on the Amber Room. This book picks up right after Marta, Susan, Tommy and his parents have just arrived in Moscow. Tommy's parents are treated to a two-week vacation while Marta, Susan, Tommy, Sidorov, Alexi, Anton, and a new character named Joseph head off to solve the mystery of the Amber Room which was stolen from Catherine Palace in Russia by the Nazis sent there to retrieve the room and return it to where they believe it belonged.
