As Africa's top destination with 14.5 million tourists in 2023 and a contribution of over 15% to the national GDP, Morocco has made tourism a central pillar of its economic development.This book analyzes, across ten chapters, the sector's contributions to inclusive growth and sustainable development. While the macroeconomic performance is undeniable, the benefits remain unevenly distributed: excessive geographic concentration, a massive informal sector, and risks of overtourism at heritage sites.
