This book aims to bridge the gap between global news production and translation practices by focusing on television news translation. It seeks to explain how news translators reproduce stories within the newsroom context. The authors adopt a case study approach, examining a foreign news desk at a television network in Taiwan and analyzing its organizational practices. The findings suggest that news translation should be regarded as a broader form of translation, despite its differences from general translation.
