Following Neil Campbell’s definition of post-Westerns as films “coming after and going beyond the traditional Western”, this book opens up the scope and adopts a transnational perspective to examine films from former European colonies (Australia and Argentina) and European countries (France, Ireland, Italy, and Spain) that establish a dialogue with the Western genre and question its underlying values and assumptions
