Treetop Flyers (LP)

London soulful Country-Rock outfit Treetop Flyers is klaar voor hun derde album. Dit keer brachten ze hun mix van Sixties getinte West Coast Americana en Britse Rock’n’Roll swagger naar The Cube, een DIY studio en oefenruimte in Stoke Newington, gevestigd achter een lijstenmakers workshop. Elke keer als ze terug kwamen voor een sessie moesten de tapemachine en gedeeltes van apparatuur afgaan met contact cleaner om al het zaagsel te verwijderen. Maar gelukkig explodeerde uiteindelijk niets en kwamen ze de studio uit met een album dat ze zelf omschrijven als “honest and fun”. Zoals zanger Reid Morrison uitlegt; “ Stripping back the recording process and working within the limitations of our equipment and recording knowledge has created what we believe to be our most true to form record and has breathed new life into our music, which is one of the main reasons we have decide to simply call the album Treetop Flyers as we believe it represents a fresh start for the band.”
