Tuning the Brain

I wrote this book with the intention of reaching out to teachers by presenting them with some proposals aimed at changing the current educational system , which relies on repetition, memorization, and now yet another distraction for the brain: computer technology and all its potential. We are merely informing young people rather than shaping their personalities, much less stimulating the development of the most important functions of intelligence, such as: contemplating beauty, thinking before reacting, not imposing ideas, managing one's thoughts, and cultivating an entrepreneurial spirit. Today's education still prioritizes the cognitive (this worked "well" in the last century) and has also become dry, cold, and devoid of any emotional depth.Teachers must love themselves in order to love their students, and they must love their profession in order to teach effectively. Their dreams should be to make their students happy, healthy, and wise; to nurture thinkers; to cultivate emotional intelligence; to expand the horizons of intelligence; and to foster a high quality of life.
