England has many buildings which give claim to being haunted by spirits of the dead. The Grade I listed Turton Tower is no exception. It has stood near the Lancashire village of Chapeltown for over six hundred years. During that time it has played host to numerous reports of paranormal happenings. They include sightings of ghostly figures of men, women, children and even horses and dogs! In addition to these, orbs and luminosities have been photographed and ghostly voices recorded. Some reports involve inanimate objects, such as an ancient wooden cradle that is said to 'rock' unaided at midnight. There are also two human skulls with a long history of poltergeist activity. The author has painstakingly collected the many reports and recorded them in this book.
