Twelve Hours to Grace: A Christian Romance of Delayed Plans, Mission Hearts, and Love Found in the Waiting

When a mission trip is grounded for twelve hours, two wounded hearts discover that God's best work may begin before departure. Lila Bennett has planned every detail of her team's outreach to Guatemala, from passport packets to medical supply bins. But when a storm shuts down the international terminal, her confidence begins to crack under missed connections, donor pressure, anxious volunteers, and refrigerated supplies that may not survive the wait. Caleb Ortiz only meant to drop off translation documents for his younger sister. After a painful ministry experience years ago, he has kept his distance from church trips, public prayers, and anything that asks too much of his heart. Yet his fluency, logistics experience, and quiet compassion make him exactly the person Lila needs when the delay becomes a crisis. As the terminal fills with stranded passengers, lost luggage, awkward apologies, and unexpected moments of service, Lila and Caleb begin to see the delay differently. Maybe the mission has already started. Maybe faith is not proven by perfect plans.
