This historical work, "Une Association D'imprimeurs Et De Libraires De Paris Réfugiés À Tours Au XVIe Siècle," by Eugène Giraudet, delves into the activities of a group of printers and booksellers from Paris who sought refuge in Tours during the 16th century. The study focuses on several key figures: Jamet Mettayer, Marc Orry, Claude De Montre'uil, Jehan Richer, Matthieu Guillemot, Sébastien Du Molin, Georges De Robet, and Abel Langellier. It sheds light on the challenges and resilience of these individuals amid the religious and political turmoil of the era. This book offers valuable insights into the history of the French book trade and the experiences of Huguenot printers during a period of significant upheaval. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it.
