Unmasked

Seventeen days in the hospital. Five days on a ventilator. One miraculous second chance at life. When COVID-19 nearly claimed Rick Martin’s life, no one could have predicted what would emerge from the silence of a coma: not just survival, but a profound spiritual reckoning. In Unmasked, Rick Martin delivers a raw, honest, and deeply moving memoir chronicling his near-death experience and the long road to recovery—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. From his Caribbean American roots and his career in media to the trauma and betrayal that haunted his past, Rick peels back every layer to reveal a man in search of meaning, healing, and divine purpose. This isn’t just a story about surviving a virus. It’s about learning to breathe again—through grief, faith, forgiveness, and the power of love. Whether someone has faced trauma, battled inner demons, or is simply seeking hope in hard times, Rick’s journey will resonate and inspire. For anyone struggling to make sense of suffering, Unmasked is a powerful reminder that there is purpose beyond the pain, and healing is always possible.
