Ever since she was 12, Forsythia Viridissima has long awaited her 18th birthday - a symbol of independence and freedom from her controlling and demanding stepmother, Chrysanthemum. However, on this much-anticipated day, Forsythia awakens to find distress and disappointment as she quickly discovers her world has been turned upside down.
