Victor the Violinist is a story about the importance of confidence, persistence, perseverance, and hard work. It highlights the fact that confidence is not something that is taught (although good, constructive teaching is a very helpful support), but rather built on the hard work necessary to develop our God-given talents, whether those talents be in music (such as the case with Victor), sharing the gospel, or developing other career-related skills. The story also is about overcoming adversity, whether it be financial, emotional, or spiritual. The story came to me in a dream. When I woke, I said to myself, "Why not create a children's book that emphasizes those very important developmental concepts-teaching children the importance of hard work as they grow, embracing and developing the skill sets with which God gave created them." So when I rose from bed that morning, I started to write. After many edits on both the narration and illustrations, I pray you enjoy reading the final product to your children and grandchildren as much as I enjoyed writing it!
