This volume contains the English versions of a few published and unpublished essays related to the following questions: a philosophical worldview based on the strict distinction of evaluative and cognitive thought, and the applicability of this view to synchronic and diachronic comparison of cultures (comparative cultural research and cyclic theories of history).
